Pain with golf? Try a golf brace!

By far the best known golf injury is the golfer's elbow. On average 7 per 1000 people get this injury. The risk of this injury is greatest for people in the age category 40 to 50, namely 13 out of 1000. Small hairline cracks in the attachment of the flexion muscles of the wrist to the elbow often appear to be the cause of these pain complaints. Golfers in particular can suffer from this injury due to the specifically requested forces on these attachments during the swing. After six months 80% of the complaints have (almost) recovered and after one year 90%. * A common and effective treatment method is an epicondilytis bandage .

In addition to the golfer's elbow, there are also other injuries that can be a nuisance when walking on the course. Some examples of this are:

  • Unstable knee
  • Thick and / or painful ankles
  • Sore feet

To support your sore knees, ProBrace offers a range of knee braces in different support classes. Depending on the level of support, your complaints on the job can be drastically reduced, without affecting your technique.

If you are struggling to run 18 holes due to sore and tired feet, it may be advisable to replace the standard soles in your golf shoes with some good ready-to-wear insoles or in some cases even custom orthopedic footbeds . Good arch support corrects the position of your ankle and a mild forefoot support reduces forefoot complaints and a possible feeling of sleep in the forefoot. If this is insufficient, an ankle brace can offer a solution. ProBrace has selected a number of copies for you that fit seamlessly into your golf shoes.

In addition, at ProBrace you can also choose from different sports stockings or sports socks that have an increased compression value. These compression stockings prevent you from retaining moisture in your lower legs. This makes it easy to prevent thick and painful ankles.

If you want more information, you can always contact ProBrace. Our advisers are ready to answer all your questions!
